The new 802.11g WL-100gE cardbus by ASUSTeK Computer Inc. incorporates advanced wireless technologies to enhance the signal coverage range and data transfer speeds of the 802.11g standard by 300% and 35%, respectively.

To simplify wireless connection the new WL-100gE also adopted the EZSetup feature.

“Wi-Fi technology has moved from offices to homes and anywhere in between,” said Frank Sheu, Director of ASUS Wireless Business. “With wireless solutions now implemented in different venues and used in sharing of multimedia contents, it is paramount that wireless devices of today provide superb signal sensitivity and high-speed data transfers to accommodate the wide range of environments and applications.”

The WL-100gE makes use of the BroadRange technology, which features advanced digital signal processing technologies to provide higher receiver sensitivity to increase the 802.11g standard signal coverage range by 300%.

The Afterburner technology enables the WL-100gE to accelerate wireless data transfers by 35% compared to standard 802.11g adaptors, making it ideal for sharing large and complex multimedia files.

The WL-100gE also comes equipped with a radio power control design that enables adjustment of output power to further improve signal sensitivity and signal range.

The EZSetup feature makes syncing the WL-100gE with a computer and wireless router simple. Together with the ASUS WL-520g router, establishing a wireless LAN is a three-step process. The WL-100gE also incorporates automatic wireless environment detection to intelligently switch between the 802.11g standard for maximum data transfer speed and the 802.11b standard for backward compatibility with older networks.
