A man from Cookeville, Tennessee, was appalled to find that the MP3 video players that he recently purchased for his young children as Christmas gifts turned out to be pre-loaded with really explicit music as well as pornographic videos.

Daryl Hill said his 10-year-old daughter was really happy when she noticed that ‘Santa’ had placed a gift for her under the Christmas tree. However, on unwrapping her gift and after turning on the device, she began crying.

Apparently, the store from where he bought the MP3 video player was a Wal-Mart in Sparta. The store received the device back from a previous owner who had loaded sex clips and songs with lyrics about using drugs.

I wish I could take the thoughts and images out of her head,” said the father of the girl.

A spokesperson from Wal-Mart said that they were investigating the issue, as stores are not usually supposed to return opened packages to the sales floor. The father wondered why the store would sell used products as new, as it actually violated one of its own policies.

Daryl Hill has declined Wal-Mart’s offer the replace the MP3 video player and went ahead and bought a totally new one for his daughter.

Further, the Hills are also thinking of talking to a lawyer about this issue, which has surely left a mark on the young child.
