Delhi-based Moser Baer, the world’s third largest manufacturer of CDs is planning to diversify and enter into the entertainment business. Moser Baer is planning to not only get into the arena of film production, but also other areas concerning entertainment.
The promoters of Moser Baer are in the process of setting up a company either a subsidiary or an independent entity for their new business venture. Former chief executive of Saregama India films business, Harish Dayani will be heading this new business.
Moser Baer was incorporated in 1983 and is now one of the country’s top technology firms and ranks among the top three optical storage media manufacturers in the world. The New Delhi based company offers a vast product range of floppy discs, compact discs and digital versatile discs.
Moser Baer has a presence in over 82 countries, serviced through six marketing offices in India, the US and Europe, with strong tie-ups with major global technology brands.
