Larry Page Two Major rumours surrounding Google turned upside down when Google President Larry Page finally made his CES keynote speech at CES, Las Vegas.

We had earlier reported that Google would be designing a low cost Google PC with its own new Operating System. However when asked as to what had happened to it Larry Page simply replied, “Was there supposed to be one?”

One of the possibilities may be that speculators mixed up such a product with Page’s own fervor for an MIT project that would aim to supply children worldwide with a $100 clockwork laptop PC.

The other rumour which turned out to be untrue was a co-announcement that the Google Search page would start appearing as the home page on future Motorola smartphones. Probably one of the parties decided to pull out of that particular announcement?
