The Biggest Loser video game bounces onto Wii and Nintendo DS

For all those fitness freaks and health-conscious players, THQ comes out with just the game. The company presents The Biggest Loser which can be played on the Nintendo DS and Wii game consoles. Still under development, this highly anticipated game is based on the hit NBC TV show of the same name.
The game includes Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels, two expert trainers who will guide gamers through workouts and nutrition goals. Players can now lose weight and stay in shape the fun way. No more dull gym routines or boring morning jogs. The game also features the host of the show, Alison Sweeney.
This game could be great for players who want to lose weight or just get in shape. The game is set in the noted Biggest Loser ranch and challenges players to compete in programs spanning over 4, 8 or 12 weeks. They can compete against previous challengers who have appeared on the show. Players can also workout with friends to see who emerges as the biggest loser.

Bob Harper, The Biggest Loser trainer shared, “The hardest part of getting in shape and staying fit is knowing what to do, as well as maintaining the desire to stick with it. The Biggest Loser video game incorporates years of research and proven results taken from The Biggest Loser television show. This program offers personalized fitness and nutrition goals to give players the tools they need to lose weight and keep it off. ”
There are a host of workouts which consist of upper, lower and core body exercises. It also features cardio and yoga workouts. A calendar marks all the players’ achievements, improvements and weight-in dates. If players perform exercises like taking a bike ride or going for a walk, they still gain credit for it; even if they are not playing the game.
Besides sweating it out, a healthy diet is also essential. The video game also consists of 50 healthy recipes which are taken from The New York Times best-selling book series The Biggest Loser. Recipes are also taken from the BiggestLoserClub.com. The contestants and trainers in the game provide helpful hints, suggestions and tips. There is also an interactive calorie counter that tracks the gamers’ daily diet. The game on Wii and Nintendo DS serves as the players’ personal and portable fitness trainer.
The Biggest Loser video game is slated to release this fall. The price is still under wraps.
