Here’s some great news for fans of the highly anticipated Shin Megami Tensei title. The official PlayStation blog reveals that when the game releases for the PSP, it will simultaneously launch at retail and through the PlayStation Network. This means that gamers who wish to grab a PSPgo in October this year and/or folks who would like to own a digital version of the game can happily do so now.

Gamers can now get ready for their dose of JRPG fix and in just the way they like it. The UMD-version of the title packs in an exclusive full 2-CD soundtrack of the game thanks to acclaimed composer Shoji Meguro. Minus any additional costs, the bundled two discs come in an endearing oversized outer box.

Well, they couldn’t possibly make this available for all. Yes, this soundtrack is a limited offer that will be available only with retail launch copies. So only the lucky few who pre-order or snatch a copy early can enjoy the music when they’ve had enough of the game or just wish to relax.

As for the game, it claims to be distinctive from other RPGs thanks to its combination of sophisticated storytelling and addictive combat. With demon negotiation and demon fusion components, the game sports completely revamped localization. Boasting of novel music accompanied by new animated sequences that have been overseen by famed artist Kazuma Kaneko, the game should excite gamers.

It additionally includes improved graphics and sound along with adjustments that should typically balance the game. There are a host of other technical and design enhancements that claim to be wrapped in this definitive version.

Shin Megami Tensei is expected to reach stores and via PSN on September 22, 2009. Both versions of the game are priced at $39.99.
