Eclectic Rockers Gorillaz now feature in the Rock Band Music Store

An announcement from Harmonix and MTV Games reveals the Rock Band debut of the Gorillaz virtual band. Created by Blur’s Damon Albarn, a three pack of songs from the band will hit the Rock Band Music store next week for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Including songs from Demon Days, the pack also features the band’s self-titled release. It is further accompanied by four singles from legendary classic rock artists The Band, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane and The Who. Besides, The Who, all other artistes will be premiering in Rock Band.
Tracks included from Gorillaz are the fan favorites ‘Clint Eastwood’, ‘Feel Good Inc.’ and ‘Re-Hash’. As for songs by The Band, Janis Joplin and Jefferson Airplane, they include ‘Chest Fever’, ‘Piece of My Heart’ and ‘White Rabbit’ respectively. The Who’s ‘Magic Bus’ will also be added to the store. These tracks will release as part of the Gorillaz Pack 01 on Aug 11 and Aug 13 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively.
Also tracks from KISS, Blink-182, Weezer, Lenny Kravitz and more are expected to launch for the Wii Rock Band Music Store next week. Tracks from Iron Maiden will additionally be available for Rock Band Unplugged for the PSP.
The Gorillaz Pack 01 costs $5.49 while each track can also be purchased individually for $1.99. Tracks for the Wii will be available from Aug 11, 2009 onwards for a price of $2 per track. Additionally tracks for Rock Band Unplugged will hit stores on Aug 13, 2009 for a price of $1.99 per track on the PSP.
