Dungeons and Dragons Co-Creator, Gary Gygax Dies at 69
American writer and game designer Ernest Gary Gygax passed away on Tuesday at his home in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. He was 69. He is survived by his wife, Gail Gygax and six children, five of whom are from his first marriage to Mary Jo Gygax.
Gygax has the credit of co-creating the pioneering role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons with Dave Arneson, and co-founding the company Tactical Studies Rules with Don Kaye in 1974.
The co-creator of the fantasy game Dungeons and Dragons, Gary Gygax found dead in his home at age 69.
Though the original Dungeon Master is no longer amidst us, his work will be loved and appreciated, and serve to be a source of inspiration for several generations to come.
