WWE SmackDown vs. RAW 2008 coming to Wii, PS3, Xbox 360, PS2, PSP and Wireless Devices
THQ has announced that it’s WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 is already in development for a number of gaming platforms such as the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and the Sony PlayStation 3 game consoles. Besides, THQ has also sent word that they are developing the game for the Microsoft Xbox 360 console, PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable (PSP) and wireless devices as well.
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008, a game which definitely belongs to the Wrestling genre in gaming will include eight unique fighting styles, each having their own strategy and exclusive attributes.
Besides, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 will also include a new feature called Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW). The game is also packed with significant updates requested by fans, including new rosters, more environmental hotspots, a combined Season and General Manager Mode experience, improved out-of-ring action, enhanced online community support and much more. The Nintendo DS version of the video game will offer a unique game play experience, including touch screen control over Superstars, situation-based fighting with unique holds and a full year of nonstop action in WWE Season Mode.

I think all the WWE, and ECW Divas should be on the game. I think the retired Divas like Trish, Lita, Torri, Stacy, Chyna, Sable, The Kat, Jazz, and Jaqueline, should be on the game too. I think there should be more legends, including the divas, and the legend titles too. Be able to pick more people in the GM mode, have cut-scenes in the GM mode, users set up the GM mode as they play it, and use the legend titles too. In the season mode have a different one for each character, walk around and talk to people, ask the GM for things, use stables, legend titles, and collect the divas.

hey I think that in the new game there should be a new online feature. That updates the game to what ever happens in real life.for example say a superstar gets traded or injuerd that should happen in the game. and i think that TNA should be included in the game. If so during kurt angles finisher his straps should come of. and ray mysterio and chavo should have eddie gurreros style of frog splash. and RVD should be able to jump farther. and i also think in TLC and lader matches should have more ladders in them. and CAWs should be able to sweat and have realistic voices. the commentaters should say the signicher moves you do .and have realistic conversations with eachother, evan through entraces they should have conversations about the person evan a CAW.

i seen that the game is coming out in october. 0n smackdown vs raw 2008 i hope yall have undertaker as champion and him walking down the ramps holding the belt in his hand. john cena is my favorite wrestler i hope he comes out with the green shorts he wear and the shirt not jersey and the hat. i agree with ghetto fabolous alot and kelv. i think people like rob van dam should have frogsplash instead of elbow drop like in 08. it was alot lot of mistakes in 07 like when you hit somebody with a chair they dont be like stonecold stunner. and sometimes when i am playing it i come out the guy on smackdown be in the ring and lilian garcia be talking.then when you play on wrestlemania stage jr and lawler be talking but tazz and cole be over there. and yall took a lot of stuff out of 07 like they had on 06 and the first smackdown vs raw. and matches like bra and panties 3stages of hell triangle ladder/tlc match i am just hoping it be in 08 and like you are in a fatal four way cage when somebody wins it desent be one person in the ring. alright thank you.

yo. i think the ecw invasion version should be for all the consoles. and rvd should be in the game. because i was on a website and it showed the roster setup and rvd was nowhere to be found. and in season mode people like ray mysterio who have different outfits should change ever week. the money in the bank should have 8 people like wrestlemania 23 did. and there should me a last ride match and an inferno match. i think that the legends that have to be in the game are the four hourse man. and the iron shiek and all the legends from the previouse games should be in it. and they should bring back the king of the ring tornument. they should also bring back the match from smackdown shut your mouth when you can walk around backstage and outside. and you should be able to walk out on a match in progress. and also interfere in matches. and TLC matches i think that to win you have to grab the belt or briefcase. and there should be a tripe threat tornado tagteam TLC and Ladder match in it. i think that high flyers like RVD, ray mysterio, and the hardys should all be able to jump as far as thy can in real life. and i hope that they put in the greatest, Goldberg in the the game. and they should have all of the arenas they have ever used like Invasion and Rebellion and BadBlood.I think that crstian cage and Team 3D a.k.a The Dudly Boyz should be in it so you can realive classic matches. and i think there should be a classic mode so you can play as old WWF wretlers like rhino, the origanal DX and all of the N.W.O’s like wolf pack, and hollywood. and they should include WCW in the game. And the should work out as many bugs as they can before it releases in the US. Thats all i have to say for now. all i want is a better more realistic game
P.S when a superstar flexes even a CAW there should be a visual and physical change in the characters musclular featuers. and there should be a macheesmo meter( whitch is when the person is on fire.

i think 08 should be a mix of all wwe games. You should be able to jump into the crowd or pull finlay’s midget from under the ring. And when you create a superstar you should be able to create attire templates so when you go to the lockeroom you can change clothes. also you should be able to walk around back,attack wrestlers from behind, invadeshows,interfere,join the commentators at ring side. Also they should really make the cruiserweight devision really crazy like tna’s x division. also legends should be: goldberge, austin, the rock,hogan,bagwell,macjo man,sting,ultimate warrior,road warrior,etc. also bring the juniors back

i think there shoudl be able to take weapons out from under the ring and more than 3 different kinds there should be tool boxes,trash cans, ladders,tables,tacks anything and take out weapons in hell in the cell, Also in ladder,tables and tlc matches there should be multiple ladders like for example 4 ladders in the ring and scampering acroos them to get to the belt. or getting those 20 foot ladders that jeff hardy jumped off of at wrestlemania or putting 4 tables outside of the ring like the dudley boyz did at wrestlemaina and then accidently falling through them and brekaing 4 tables at once, ANother thing is when tables break they shouldnt dissapear. It would look allot more realistic if you could just walk over the broken tables. and also being able to do finsihing move off ladders inside the ring onto the outside and through the anncouncers table. BAckstage areas for sure should be upgraded like in the older ones i used to play being able to walk from the arena stage into the back and make it huge but realistic i think half the people who play this just enjoy rippign around backstage like in teh old ones. also being able to go through teh crowd to otuside.

I think there should b more superstars on a GM roster,inferno matches,last ride matches and all the divas (raw,smackdown and ecw). also there should b i quit matches. On 08 can u please put more storilines cos i hate doin the same one over and over again. Wgen you create a wrestler can u make the announcer say there weight,home town. with the entrance can u make it say “the following contest is scheduled for 1 fall and its for the wwe championship intro. first from north carolina weighing 243 pounds, he is the wwe champion ric flair. yo its been a lon time since a suggested anything new. but im back with a bunch whole new ideas. fist of all, most of you nubs were just rewriting what I wrote, so come up with your own ideas…. anywhoo i agree with the “nature boy” a lot. when i first played 06 i was hoping for many more improvments from the orignal, but they just weren’t there. like for example in the origanal instalment of the series the had jeff hady’s entrance and his moves, they even had his stable entrance with matt. and in the next two they took out most of the legends.and by most i mean all of the legends. what happend to the legion of doom, and brutus “thebeafcake” barber, and stg slauter,and george steal, the million dollar man, and why aren’t unertaker and masked kane legends. and in addition of having new story lins there should be a classic mode that lets you go through the story line of each superstars entire career in the wwf through wwe. and the classic mode should go through all of the era’s.for you people who don’t know what i mean, i’m talking about the attitude era, the wwf next generation era, and all of the era’s of raw like the war zone, and raw is war all three versions of it. and not only ECW but WCW nitro, and WCW thunder should be included in the newest instalment. and it wouldn’t make sence to call smackdown vs raw 2008 if it includes all of these things, it should be call WWE the video game.

Hello, I’m a WWE fan (obviously) I watch smackdown and raw every week.
I have read all the reviews and i think some are good, and some are bad.
a few of the reviews have discraceful language, use this site for what its for! its no to go swear and think you are all hard and tough, its to write your comments and thoughts of smackdown vs raw 2008.so here is one thought,
I think that on SMACKDOWN VS RAW 2008 they should have a better create-a-superstar-mode, let the limit of weight go to ultra heavyweight, be as tall as 8 ft.

U should b abl 2 make ur own srory line by being abl 2 chaleng b challenged and to compeat 4 no 1 conteners 4 any tital in th game and b abl 2 request rematces, matchs , match types , and be abl switch brands if the other brands want u . And if ur on a brand u can talk 2 the brands superstars and other people who work there like the interview people and GMs 2 mak them like or dislike u and when superstars like u they can b ur partners and u can help them when they need it and vice versa and also u should b abl 2 start relationships with divas and ur enterances toghether will have more or less physical contact the better or worse ur relationships get.
P.S the other superstars can target titels 2 and the titel should change holders once in a while. also u should b abl 2 check out the compatition and watch matchs

I think you should put the alternative matchs like casket match, pyro match, strecher match these would make the game more addicting to the fans i also think that u should add ECW leagends like terry funk also i think for the u.s championship you can choose if you want it to be a spinner or not i also think you should get to choose if you want to hold the title on your waist or on your sholder in the entrances

I say there should be no loading screens or to load while theres a cut scene in the entrances such as in the other superstar waiting for his opponent. Also there should be cut scenes in GM Mode such as the intro for your show with all the fireworks and also for the PPV’s also for the interference promotion and slander promotion and the superstar who attacks costs the other one the match,the Rivalry attack show a scene where one attacks the other and the slander promotion you can Create Your own GM and then he/she comes out and says stuff about the other show. There should also be Next Week Hype For a match that you will book the following week and at Wrestlemania in GM mode there should be the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and the superstar who wins has a contract for a title match. The Ecw title should also come out in the Title Match. Mr McMahon should comeout as a legend. There also should be entrances for he Elimination Chamber and an option to be Extreme Elimination Chamber or the regular one.Commentators should be Michael Cole and JBL for Smackdown, J.R. and King for RAW, and Tazz and Joey syles for ECW.

Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 needs every Raw superstar and diva, Every ECW diva and superstar and Every Smackdown superstar and diva, And some TNA superstars, like Abyss, Angle, Rhino, Sting, etc. And more weapons like Barbwire Bat and Tacks And u should be able to set tables on fire. And the Kendo Stick and sandman should be able to crush beer cans on his head.. like on ECW and on raw they should have The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Goldberg and Brock Lesnar.

I think that wwe smackdown vs raw 2008 should have the biggest roster that they have ever had with older superstars, superstars that have retired or gone to tna: like goldust, goldberg, brock lensar, chris jericho, muhammad hassan, the dudley boys, spike dudley, kurt angle, scott steiner, test, big show, a-train, rhyno, sting, kevin nash, scott hall, maven, rosey, rico, jamie noble, billy kidman, tajiri. I also think that the game should have alot of the ecw originals (that don’t wrestlel today) like:mike awsome, the elminaters, and all the other ones. plus all the wrestlers that still wrestle.

Smackdown vs Raw 2008 is going to be the best game ever. ain’t no telling who going to be in this year’s game. I finally now get to here the commentators by Raw, Smackdown (hoping it will be JBL as a announcer) and ECW. it some how got me wondering during the last on smackdown vs Raw 2007. will the CAW’s skin be more shinnier like the other wwe superstars on PS2 and PS3. I sure hope so.

Hi. I’ve just been reading many of the posts in here and have seen many people insulting each other because of ‘nerd sites’ etc. First of all stick to the purpose of the site: Discuss what is going to come in WWE Smackdown Vs Raw 2008. Secondly: for those of you who are still wondering, Jeff Hardy WILL be in the game. Thirdly, on the weekend of Wrestlemania 23, THQ held a press conference giving previews of the game which is expected to release in October. Many critics attended and the following site has posted what was said to be in the game, but doesn’t have everything that will be in the game due to the fact that there will be several more pieces of information to be released about the game.

i reckon that you should have all the greatest wrestlers that made the wwe what it is today there should be jeff hardy all of the ecws ever mvp and get stuuff like kiss my ass math bared wire steell cage match and many others i reckon you should be able to fight with vince donald trump and you should be able to do season mode with every superstar and you should be able to take control of vince or teddy long and line up mathes main event of wrestlemania and all the other shows and should be able to have money inthe bank cashed and play eney body eney title and hit people with it and just like kennedy won the bank he played edge and lost it there should be 4 ladders and eight man like wrestlemania and it should be like a real story and when you look at the girls boobs they look like melons the graphics should look real and when you look under the ring you should be able to pull the turpin right up you can pick whatever weapon you want and when you break int stufff the dont dissapear and i hope it will be on xbox360 and ps2

And make crete mode has some “more weight” like khali was ultra but he is super but I like that idea and I want you make that in crete! And has ultra for weight! i would say it is the best on ps3. it is so realistic randy ortons dirty styles and great khali’s power.

iv been seaching 4 days 4 a release date all i knw it comes out in october but wot day anyone knws.. i hope wif this game u should be able to make a gang and ur the boss on season mode were u get allowed to pick wot u wnt to do like after matches u b able to beat the oppenant until help arrives , talk to him, chuck throw a table etc… plus when u play tlc or table matches the table stays when broken and on ladders u should do extreame moves off the top .

Hey remember back in ecw when sabu ran into a chair, jumped on the chair, and jumped on his opponent. I think sd! vs raw 2008 should have that because it would make hardcore match better than what it already is. And for your information Legend Killer, Angle is in TNA not ECW. First of all, I agree with those who says, that we should put our own voice, music and titantron movies to our CAW chars., and create our own PPV arenas. Second, plz, STOP SAYING PUTJEFFHARDYINTHEGAME. I’m a fan of the Hardyz, myself, I admit, and I would like to see him, in the game, too. But, enough already. We all heard you the first time. Now that it’s out, here are my ideas.
First, you should be known as a heel or a face, not only by your actions, but, also, all depending who you enemies/allies are.
Second, the divas should have a story mode as well. Plus, you should be able, to put your created divas in matches, like B&P match, instead of just having the original set. Plus, creating their ”alternate” outfits, for these kinds of matches.
Here’s my idea, of which legends (WWE & ECW(shold have some of the old brand)), should be seen in the game: Hulk Hogan (and Hollywood, as well), Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Brock Lesnar, Goldberg, Tajiri, Ultimo Dragon, The Rock, Stone Cold, Bret AND Owen Hart, Eddie Guerrero, New Jack, The 3 faces of Foley, Andre The Giant, Giant Gonzales, The Dudleyz (all of them), Trish Stratus, Lita, Chyna, Luna Vachon, MDM Ted DiBiase, Mae Young, Fabulous Moolah, Sensationnal Sherri, Macho Man Randy Savage, British Bulldog, Taker badass, Roddy Piper, Gangrel, IRS,… (ughhh…) Well, there’s a lot of legends, I know, but these are just some name I putted. Now, I hope, that at least some of them will be in it.

they should have well known superstars and divas not just old ones that no one know about
in 24/7 mode u should be able to walk and talk backstage and while u doin that ppl are having they match so u should be able to interfere wit any match u choose and u should make relationships wit the divas and make teams wit the other superstars
i dont think that wcw and tna should be in it. mostly bc wcw is DEAD and they are altready making a tna game (and no offense to tna bc i watch it every week)
it would be cool if u can make rivalries by talking to ppl backstage and even getting in to a fight wit them
u should have all the matches that were ever in the wwe including ambulance inferno punjabi prison bullrope falls count anywhere bra and panties(please) gauntlet(or 3 stages of hell) lumberjack and lumberjill item on a pole supersize money in the bank(but that probably wont happen bc up to 6 ppl can play)
i dont think they should have many superstars or legends bc i heard that the more wrestlers they have the less arenas and stuff they can have
i think they should have more weapons for ecw like tables ladders stop signs trash cans barbed wire baseball bats bags of tacks that cactus jack would have and more
the superstars that carry stuff like boogeymans worms and finlays shilaeleah should be able to use wat they bring to the ring

I heard this game has E.C.W invasion. I hope that this game has a slobber knocker match like the first and 06. I will be satistfied if goldgerg, brock lesner, andre the giant, c.m. punk, stacy keibler, victoria, rhyno, jake “the snake” roberts, goldust and etc. I want this game to have better graphics and I hope that you can drive cars like on the wwf games. This game should have all the moves that were made and we should be able to go around and find divas for managers and change attires in season mode. If this will happen this game will be the best….. Um and 4 the record RKO master jeff hardy RULEZ is right.

U should be able to play as The Rock and SCSA in season mode and plz uppdate movesets and roster. I and millions and Millions of Wrestling fans Want Goldberg and Brock Lesnar in this one, SvR 2008 would be the best in its Series then. U should be able to change wardrobe on the WWE superstars. and old school stables such as the evolution, The dudley boys and the 3xtreames with entrance movie and theme. also the exclusive and only at wreslemania moment when the superstar actually have a band that perform their entrance theme, like DX when SCSA faced HBK with Tyson as enforcer of Triple H several times with live bands like Drowning pool and Motörhead.

wat i didnt like about slobberknocker is that they made it easy for u like in the first game u just got to do like two or three moves for your opponenet to get a red injury and u could beat him before that.also i would like sabu to be in the game but probably not becaouse they realeased him from wwe but he might be a legend but probably not

I think that the announcer should announce your weight on the way to the ring, and with certain advanced enterances the title belt should not just vanish going into the ring or anything like that.
There should be a Lumber jack match and make it so there can be more than 6 people in the ring at a time.
Please add: Bill goldberg, Chyna, Eddie Guerrero.
The Purpose of the money in the bank match in exhibition should make it that after every match with the champ in exhibition or what ever mode, should make an option to cash in the money in the bank.
Oh and by the way guys Jeff Hardy is in the game.
