Novel based on Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning Game, announced by EA and BL Publishing

Though the ‘Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning’ game has been delayed until 2008, there’s something else in the pipeline for the much awaited MMORPG.
Electronics Arts (EA) and BL Publishing, which is a division of Games Workshop, have teamed up to unveil an original novel based on the ‘Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning’ title. BL Publishing will be releasing the very fist novel anytime in 2008. It will actually be a series of novels set in Age of Reckoning, Empire in Chaos that can be bought from all major bookstores and also from the BL Publishing website by the coming year.
Games Workshop author Anthony Reynolds maintained that in Empire in Chaos, the lands of the empire are being destroyed by an awful pestilence. When Annaliese Jaeger’s village is flooded and shattered by mutants, she and an injured Elf captive are the only survivors. As the two unlikely companions fight their way towards Black Fire Pass, Annaliese stunningly unveils within herself powers of courage and faith that inspire all around her. With a grayish Witch Hunter and a Dwarf Ironbreaker, the heroes battle alongside the armies of the Empire and the Dwarfs, above and below the earth, against greenskin tribes and the hordes of Chaos. Together, they must find their courage and help turn back the tides of darkness, to save the Empire from being lost.
Anthony Reynolds, the author of the novel maintained, “The Warhammer world is a grim place, full of horror, violence and dark humor, and the EA Mythic team have really brought that to life - faithfully creating a living, breathing, bellicose world being torn apart by constant warfare. It’s the perfect backdrop for a novel. I’d been following the progress of the game for some time and it was easy to see that Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning was going to be something special.”
