IPTV on Xbox 360 Game Console to be showcased by Microsoft at The Connected Home Show in London

Microsoft will be showcasing IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) on its popular game console, the Xbox 360 for the first time ever in Europe at The Connected Home show that will be held in Olympia, London from March 5 to March 7, 2007.
The IPTV display on the Xbox 360 will be demonstrated by Ed Graczyk, Worldwide Director of Marketing and Communications for Microsoft TV during his keynote at the conference, entitled “Future of Connected Entertainment”.
The demonstration will cover what exactly will happen when next0-generation television is combined with next-generation gaming in a unique and new service (IPTV) that will be delivered by one’s broadband provider.
Some of the largest telecommunications service providers have chosen Microsoft IPTV Edition as their IPTV software solution. IPTV on the Xbox 360 game console is slated to be available commercially through select service providers by the holiday season this year.
Ian Johnson, Managing Director of Junction Group Ltd., organizer of the IPTV World Forum, commented by saying, “This will be a unique opportunity to witness first hand the possibilities which IPTV offers to service providers and to the online gaming market and we are delighted that Microsoft has chosen the IPTV World Forum event to showcase this demonstration.”
