Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 announced for Wii and PS2
Atari has announced that Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 is currently in development for the Wii and PlayStation2 gaming consoles. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 blends the super-fast fighting and action that have made Budokai Tenkaichi 1 and Budokai Tenkaichi 2 the #1 fighting games of 2005 and 2006.
Developed by Namco Bandai Games, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 renders the ultimate 3D fighting experience, advancing upon last year’s game with over 150 playable characters, improved fighting techniques, beautifully refined effects and shading techniques, making each character’s effects more realistic, and over 20 battle stages. Furthermore, with the advanced control system for the Wii, players can easily mimic signature moves and execute devastating energy attacks as they are performed in the Dragon Ball Z animated series.
The environments have also been enhanced to feature day and night stages, which further adds to the extraordinary number of characters and improved Wii control system. The power of the moon in the night stages gives players additional ways to transform their characters and lets fans recreate some of their favorite memories from the show.
The massively popular Dragon Ball Z series is the gold standard of anime-based video games, with more than 25 different games and over 10 million units sold since May 2002.

I am looking forward to this new game already. No doubt improvements have been made from BT2, but one major aspect to improve upon is the music. I know there are those who like the Japanese music but I have to agree with the other half who prefer Bruce Falconer’s music. The sound is as important, if not, more important than the visual. The American soundtrack has a lot of themes for characters and locations as well as a variety of calm and fast-paced action tracks. If you want to listen to a variety of examples, just go to http://www.southernmusicdigital.com/Dragonball to listen to a huge list of Bruce Falconer’s Dragonball Z soundtracks. As for the game’s new features, I’m glad they’re getting as many characters as they can. The same goes for the stages- the more the merrier. And if the stages are more destructible, the better the fight is. I can Also see where some techniques could be improved upon like Daboura’s spit attack that turns you to stone and Gotenks’ super ghost kamikaze attack could be used to a much larger magnitude. One thing that would truly satisfy me would be to see Tien and Piccolo and Cell (and others) use the Multi-form technique (split into 4 people). Another would be the solar flare and Piccolo and Cell’s regeneration and Afterimage and Instant Transmission. One final task would be to have 2 weaker characters versus one stronger opponent similtaniously and switching between them in battle rather than taking turns. These are my opinions and my suggestions. Thank you for taking the time to read.

This game is going to be the best! One thing they should fix is that all the budokai games and bt1 had really good music but in bt2 they took out all the good music. They should also add more than to Blast 2s that would add much larger varity to the fighting. I also think that the levels should be more distructable. One thing that bugged me was not being able to blow up Kami’s lookout. Another thing that would be cool is if when you knock your opponent into a building if a chunk came of or a hole appeared in it instead of it shattering and then being able to fight inside some of the buildings would be awsome to!

i hope this time that the transformation with goku goes to 1-4 this time because last time his super transformations only went to 1 to 3, then they made a separate character and that kind of suck. so i hope they go to all the transformation with one character instead of breaking it down to 2 characters, and just goku but to all characters (vegita,gohan,goten,freeze,etc.) like dragon ball z budokai 3; Oh!! and the most important thing they should without no reason make the stages more destructible and wider so its like having to watch the a dragon ball z movie but instead were playing it. And make the controls when so fly more freely.

i hope in the game you can control the enery ball and destroy pieces of land. Also there should be a free roaming missions in dbz space so you can blow up planets and you get to choose your master (Frieza, Cell, Buu) i hope they can put these features in the game also

it should have General Rildo, Andriods 14&15, the people in the otherworld turnament, the Spice boys, Ledgick, Snakeway Lady, Mr. PoPo, the other dragons from gt, Chi-Chi, Pui Pui, Yamo, Spopovich, yakon, king vegeta, nail, bibidi, vegeta and goku jr., kid goku gt, future gohan, kami, trunks goten gt, tuffle, buu with cell/frezia/piccolo absorbed, gohan with suprem kia suit and sword, kibeto, kid uub, more saiyins, more freiza or coolers minions, messed up fusions, king cold, kid krillian, gohan during cell saga with namik cape, more places to fight, dr. myuu, a mission in side buu with goku and vegeta!!!!

DBZ Tenkaichi 3’s storymode, and transformation should improve. On
Tenkaichi 2’s story mode it doesn’t shows any action. If Super Buu absorbed Ultimate Gohan they should show the action when he got absorbed. They only show the action for one story a saga. In the android
saga It was when Vegeta fought android 18.
It showed the action before the fight as if you were watching the cartoon.
It should do that for every story in a saga. When a character transforms
to a powerful tranformation they’re should be wind blowing, and rocks
surrounding you like Its actually real. I hope all those things improve.

Tenkaichi 3 should be made as long as possible. On Tenkaichi 2 It was too
short, and easy. It’s all, because the story modes was too short. On the
Turles, Slug, Bardock, Cooler, Garlic Junior, Broly, and Bo Jack sagas you
only had to fight one person through the whole thing. They should’ve put
all the henchmen for the movie sagas.
The Bardock saga better have his all his saiyan friends. Turles’s saga should have his henchmen. The Cooler saga should have the armored squad. The Garlic Junior saga should have his henchmen, and when the
black mist water turned everyone on Earth evil. The same goes for Bo Jack’s, and Broly’s saga. This had better improved.

I agree with Trunks, but I also think that all the story modes (including the
movie sagas) should be a little bit more original. The Bardock saga on
Tenkaichi 2 took place on Namek. It was supposed to be on planet Vegeta.
Plus the movie started out on a different planet. The story modes should
be similar to Budokia one’s story mode, but way better. On Budokai 1 It
showed all the action, and It was original.
That’s what Tenkaichi 3 should be like. Tenkaichi 2 did’nt show much of any
thing. It only showed action in the story modes a little. Like when Goku used the spirit bomb on kid buu. Once you deffeted him It showed all the action.
I felt like I was watching the cartoon. All the sagas should be like that for
Tenkaichi 3.

Man im gonna crush some sayians and aliens when this bad boy comes out. I wonder about the destructable terrain. Like one guy said can ya make it so that it gets trashed just from the slightest impact and it remain there, not fade away. And one more thing i heard there was gonna be a customiseing your own character on the other 2 budokias but it never happend. Will you allow us to create our own characters on this one. You know design the clothes, the forms, the face, the attacks, the race. That would be sweet if you ask me.

I agree with Broly, yet I think the character creation could be even deeper. For example, they could let us create new fusions, and design our signature attacks to be exactly the way we want it. Like, say a person preferred Super Saiyan 4, and also wave style attacks. Well, instead of just choosing Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, they could design they’re own Saiyan and tone his hair, skin, muscle mass, and clothing to they’re liking. Then they could move on to his level. Say they didn’t want to have to wait for an in-game transformation though it is kind of cool to watch. Say they were just power-hungry, and wanted to start out in Super Saiyan 1-4. They could choose his form and then pick other possible in-game transformations, including fusions. Next is finishing moves. They could design how they’re character’s finishing move cinematic looked. For example, I would use a strong punch to knock them into the air. I would follow it up with an instant transmission, kicking them down towards the ground. I would charge a giant energy ball similar to a 100% death ball. I would then launch it at my opponent, then sending an energy beam somewhat like a Big Bang Kamehameha through the bomb. And after the chaos has ended, I would kick a single med-size energy ball at my opponent. Then after finishing move editing, I would tone all my ki attacks to a red color.

I think they should make the city where everything isn’t tore up ,and
make It in the day time. Like where we had to fight super Buu on
Budokai 2. I also think we should fly around freely in the city
like we could do on Sagas. That goes for story mode too. On
Tenkaichi 2 we could only go so far when we landed on one of the
yellow dots.
Also make the game a lot more harder. It so easy on Tenkaichi 2.
Be sure to add all of the villains henchmen to make the game longer.
For the History of Trunks saga While flying around there should’ve
been tore up cities, and fire burning everywhere. So, I hope It be
more original.

Since the game is only going to have 150 characters please only count
each character, and not the transformations. Also allow Goku to raise
his ki on kaio kan. On Tenkaichi 2 his energy kept dropping.

it would AWEFUL if they had an adult DBZ goku go from saiyan 3 to saiyan 4…Saiyan 4 is a GT thing, which was not written by AKira Toriyama. SO they re doing EXACTLY what they need to by separating the characters. AGain, the developers goal is to bring gamers CLOSER to the SHOW, not to what we would have liked the show to be like. keep DBZ and DB GT separated. Just like gohan should have 2 different characters for the one who turns into super saiyan and the mystic gohan who chooses to stay in his normal shape because, as it says in the original japanese show, it would be dangerous to turn into super saiyan with his new powers.

1.Kid Goku(Dragon Ball)should fly with the flying nimbus during battle
2.Ice shenron should be in the game
2.Paragas the father of broly should be in the game plus ozharu form
3.The hell should be a place plus a form of this is when janemba distort it
4.That the forms of GT kid goku should have the golden ozharu before the SSJ4 transformation
5.That in Dragon Ball GT and the second season of Dragon Ball Z Shenron should grant 3 wishes
6.That when a finishing ball energy attack,Exaple:Spirit Bomb hits the Earth it destroys it but when a finishing beam energy attack hits the Earth the beam should fly by the outher space like in Budokai 3
7.Bigger places with farther limits
8.The finishing move of GT kid goku should be the universal spirit bomb that he used to kill omega shenron

In those dragonball Z games you have like a barrier stoping you from runing off to another place and i think that in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 you should be able to go around the whole planet like in dragon universe and you should have a little mini map on the side telling you where you are in the world.
Also, in one of the game options i think you should be able to act out the character’s everyday life for the character that you chose; and you could get the game to go online after a while to be the characters and talk to other people, forming partys to do quests and making friends and also customizing new skills and maybe get weapons with some characters.

i fink wen attacks like destructo disc or special beam cannon shud actually blast a hole thru a character or slice em in half eg wen krillin dus it perfect(as he neva did in the series) it slices the opponent in half reducing their power so they cud only fight and have little ki attacks but cnt use ultimates.eg if goku wer sliced in half he cudnt go super saiyan coz he needs the energy to fight and move so he can only do like fightin combos and kamehamehe (but a limited amount of hamahamehas).
they need 2 make alot of the sagas longer i fink and wen gohan in tenkaichi 2 beat cell in the movie he goes “ack”! which wasnt enuff lyk AHHHHH lol

I think it would be best if this coming new game includes ALL the characters in Dragonball, Dragonball Z, and Dragonball GT! That way, everybody will be satisfied, don’tcha think? i think we shud be able 2 make our own planet and hav a custom story line 4 a custom charecter and be able 2 walk n fly around your planet and hav your own race and also hav the other real storys NO FORCE FIELDS!!!!!!!! they suck we should be able 2 fly around like on DBZ BT 2 when your lookin 4 enemies but you should be able to go on the ground and fight groups of enemies and hav allies fight as your friends or let player 2 control them and have up 2 4 players with a multi tapand hav all different custom characters and invade other planets with an army and fight on a big battlefield and all your army hav powers and be able to hav weapons if you want them. and hav mini games lyk sayin football or other sports. and be able 2 do normal duels with custom characters. and definatley need 2 player story mode.

i agree with you dont now everithing. i’ve been reading the mangas and watchin DBZ, DB, and DBGT since they came out theres nothing i don’t know about DBZ i’ve never missed anything I’M A TRUE FAN NOT YOU POSERS WHO THINK BECAUSE YOU’VE SEEN A FEW EPISODES AND A COUPLE MOVIES AND PLAYED THE GAMES THAT YOU KNOW DBZ (cuz guess what your wrong). you guys really don’t know anything about dragonball, and honestly your setting your expectations way to high i mean think about it to design a game the way you people are talkin would take an unbelievable amount of time. our technology is not that advanced yet. if ya wanna here a logical description of what should be put in the game than think about something original. like ohhhh say new characters noone has ever seen before, better collision detection, more detailed maping, and of course, the characters real strengths and weakness’s from the show. there ya go posers. have at it, and before ya go around callin your self a DBZ fan, maybe you should make sure you can spell their names right. if you guys can tell me the japanese names of every character english and japanese without lookin it up on the internet (i can but highly doubt any of you can) than i will call you a TRUE DBZ fan.

i’ve played all of the dragonball z games so far like most of you,i can say i am addicted to it of course. ive never been defeated by any of my friends of budokai tenkaichi 2 so far. ive unlocked everthing of course, and i constanly play it, i have noticed a lot of things in this game (as for a typo!) lol and i have a lot of ideas on what need improved/or something i feel they did not include. heres some of the things ive thought of..i agree with they really need more destructive things in the arenas. and i would like if there was all of the dragons from gt (playable) and i would definatley liek the idea of the sayians being able to trasform into all of there forms (kao-ken ss1,2,3,4. or what ever forms that they have. i was kind of disapointed that ss4 goku was a totally different charachter and you couldnt just simply transform into him. p.s. “the ultimate dbz fighter” id pwn u to death lol.

Sorry to inform you guys but the creators cannot have the “custom character creation” that you’re thinking of. You’d have to choose a template for your character’s face and techniques from other characters. You’re making it too hard on the programmers when you want to make your Blast 1 attack one that wipes all life off of Earth and erases existance.

Yo every one DragonBall Z BurstLimit is coming on PS3 and XBOX 360, The storyline is from the begining of the Saiyan Saga to the end of the Cell Saga so al the characters in that part of DBZ should be in and fighters from the movies are in too.
