THQ’s Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command for PSP and DS announced

THQ has announced that it will soon release Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command for the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS handheld gaming systems in Fall 2007. However, as of now, the details seem to be very scarce, so you’ll have to be patient! Also, we are sure that the game will be coming to the PSP as screenshots of the same have already been released; but as for the DS, we’ll have to wait some more.
This PSP and DS version of Warhammer, which was otherwise playable only as an MMORPG (Warhammer: Age of Reckoning), features action-packed combat, and will involve turn-based strategy as well as an authentic single-player storyline.
PSP gamers will be playing as the elite Space Marines and will have to combat the encroaching evil of the demonic Chaos through 13 cinematically-tied missions.
Also, Warhammer: Squad Command for the Sony PSP is set to feature a multiplayer mode with 9 unique missions, in which gamers can play with friends or others worldwide as either the Imperium of Man or Chaos Space Marines.
Warhammer 40k: Squad Command fully utilizes the portable functionality of the PSP and DS, including the dual screen and stylus

Listed below are the features of the PSP version of Warhammer 40,000:
Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command will surely serve as a treat to all PSP and DS owners. However, PC gamers will have to wait until 2008 for the final release of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. Some time ago, we had announced that Warhammer Online would be coming to Asian countries.
