Wii Virtual Console gets Pac-Man, Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Spirit

Nintendo has launched three new games for the Wii Virtual Console (VC). The games to hit the platform are Pac-Man, Ninja Gaiden and Ninja Spirit, which will be available via the Wii Shop Channel from 12 p.m. Eastern/9 a.m. Pacific Time, onwards.
Below is a little about each of the game to hit the American VC:
Pac-Man, well the name says it all. You, I and perhaps most of us have played this game at some point or the other. Moving the Pac-Man through the maze, avoiding ghosts, and eating all the Pac-Dots is all together an amazing experience. The best part is to eat a Power Pellet that makes Pac-Man invincible and then go on to gobble up the ghosts who have temporarily turned blue. The game, which was released in 1980, is one of the most popular games ever!
Pac-Man released on the Japanese and European Virtual Consoles in April.
Launched almost 20 years back, in 1988, as an arcade game, Ninja Gaiden was later moved to the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989. Gamers adorn the role of Ryu Hayabusa, who is a rising warrior in his family’s clan, which protects the Dark Dragon Blade from falling into the hands of evil. Ryu is on a mission to seek vengeance for his father’s death and for that he goes to America. Gamers have to fight their way through 14 challenging side-scrolling levels while defeating gangs of street thugs, battling evil ninjas and fighting barbarian bosses by using the deadly Dragon Sword, ninja skills and Ninpo (ninja magic). They can run, crouch, jump and climb as they make their way through each stage and collect items to gain points, strength and weapons.
Ninja Spirit hit the Japanese and European Virtual Consoles last week.
Irem developed Ninja Spirit for the TurboGrafx16 in 1990. It is a side-scrolling action game where gamers play the role of ninja Moonlight and take revenge of his father’s death. Gamers have the choice to select between the original Arcade Mode and the PC Engine Mode. They can use katana, shuriken, bombs and chain and sickles to fight their way through the enemies.
Ninja Gaiden debuted on the Japanese Virtual Console in April, but is not yet available in Europe.
