Yesterday at E3 2007, game publisher Ubisoft announced that it will be releasing the arcade-style game “Nitrobike”, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii game system.

The company let out a few details regarding this fast-paced game which has rocket-powered bikes racing around the place.

Nitrobike has been developed by Left Field Productions who are the creators of the Nintendo 64 classic game Excitebike 64.

Nitrobike will see players navigate rocket-propelled motorcycles. In the game, players can either choose to race against the clock or against opponents by trying out Nitrobike’s multiplayer game mode.

Nitrobike also offers players a unique online mode.

According to Jay Cohen, vice president of publishing at Ubisoft, “Ubisoft is thrilled to be introducing the first Motorcross game available for the Wii. Nitrobike’s fun and fast-paced gameplay is sure to be a hit with Wii owners for the holiday season.”

Nitrobike will be published and distributed by Ubisoft in the holiday season of 2007.
