Yesterday, Bizzare Creation’s Boom Boom Rocket arrived on the Xbox LIVE Aracde. This happens to be the first Arcade game from Electronic Arts’ Pogo.com casual games design team to have ever hit the Xbox LIVE.

Boom Boom Rocket is a rhythm-action game title that features exploding fireworks. Players must trigger rockets to the beat of the music while traveling through a 3D cityscape.

Boom Boom Rocket features three modes of gameplay: Normal, Speed and multiplayer head-to-head. In fact, each song in the game has been choreographed into three skill levels.

Players will be able to unlock new firework designs by mastering each music track. Besides, gamers can also utilize the connected online element and see how their scores compare with other players on the Boom Boom Rocket leaderboard.

Boom Boom Rocket costs 800 Microsoft Points and is now available in the US, Canada and Europe. According to Microsoft, this arcade game will release in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand soon.

According to Spenser Brooks, EA’s, Boom Boom Rocket Producer, “The joint effort between the Pogo.com creative team and the talented team at Bizzare Creations evolved the idea into what the game plays like today. Seeing people’s response to the game itself has been such a great experience- it’s what making games is all about. We’re so excited to give Xbox Live Arcade fans this new game and have had so much fun playing it ourselves- you can’t help but have fun playing this game.”
