Virgin Radio comes to Wii and PS3 Game Consoles

PS3 and Wii owners have one more source of entertainment now. Virgin Radio, UK, the rock station that was once owned by Richard Branson, has begun streaming on to the Sony PlayStation 3 and the Nintendo Wii video game consoles.
Virgin Radio’s music player has been made compatible with the Wii and the PS3 browsers. Thus gamers will be able to log on to the Virgin “player” on their respective console’s Web browser.
There are four streams available as of now, which include Virgin radio, Classic Rock, Radio Extreme and Radio Groove. What’s more, PS3 and Wii owners will be able to buy concert tickets and CDs through the Virgin radio Tickey Store. They can also download specific tracks from this location.
“People are treating the consoles as part of their home entertainment media centre, and now Virgin Radio will be a part of that experience. This platform has great growth potential among early adopters and the 25-44 audience popular with advertisers,” he added.
