One of the eagerly awaited games for 2008 is Devil May Cry 4. Now publishers Capcom has sent word that the playable demo of the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Devil May Cry 4 would be available in January 2008. It will be put on the PlayStation Store as well as the Xbox Live Marketplace.

And what do the gamers get in the demo of DMC 4? Capcom has stated that it will introduce the new protagonist Nero and the awesome power of his Devil Bringer as well as the gothic-inspired supernatural world of Devil May Cry 4. Also, it features sampling of sections from the full game that have varied locales and Nero’s exceptional abilities. The demo of DMC 4 features the coastal city of Fortuna and its surroundings like the snow-capped mountain ranges and port in fine detail.

The DMC 4 playable demo also has instructions on a variety of new actions that the Devil Bringer confers. The actions include the capability to smash creatures to the ground, cover great distances in a single bound or even grab enemies while on the ground or in the air and pull them towards Nero to carry on the attack combo. Then there is the Exceed system that permits Nero to “rev up” his sword as if it were a motorcycle throttle and let loose overwhelming attacks. Gamers will need to learn these methods very well as at the end of the demo the mighty Berial is waiting for them.

Devil May Cry 4 has been developed in-house by Capcom. Besides the PS3 and the Xbox 360, the game will release on the PC also. DMC 4 is expected to release in the early part of next year. It is expected to have constant 60 frames per second at 720P resolution on HD monitors.
