Electronic Arts has introduced an exclusive family-oriented feature that will make it easier for players of all ages and skill levels to play popular EA Sports games on the Nintendo Wii game system.

Called EA SPORTS Family Play, this feature will debut in the Wii versions of upcoming EA Sports titles such as Madden NFL 08, NBA LIVE 08, and FIFA Soccer 08.

With this new family-oriented feature, players will be able to choose the style that suits their skills the best. For instance, they could choose between the ‘Advanced’ and ‘Family’ Play options.

Advanced users are able to take complete control of all aspects of the gameplay using intuitive Wii gestures using both the Wii Remote and the Nunchuck.

Whereas the ‘Family’ Play option offers a much more simplified control system relying solely on the Wii Remote. So you’ll be able to shoot, pass, throw or snap during the game while still focusing on the fun aspect of it.

According to Dave McCarthy, Executive Producer for the three games developed at EA Canada, “EA SPORTS Family Play on the Wii creates an incredibly accessible and user-friendly experience that the whole family will enjoy. While many fans love to control every piece of the action, novice players can have just as much fun jumping in to throw a touchdown pass, nail a three pointer or take a shot on goal.”

Madden NFL 08 game on the Wii features an all new Party Mode, trivia quizzes and 22 different mini-games. Also debuting in this game is the all new Madden NFL 08 telestrator that allows players to break down plays and highly key moments. You can also play this game online with friends and remain well briefed with the live sports ticker.

NBA LIVE 08 game on the Wii allows players to use both the Wii Remote and Nunchuck for more advanced controls. With EA SPORTS Family Play just about anyone of any age and skill can enjoy success and feel like a pro.

FIFA Soccer 08 game on the Wii will see players playing the traditional or authentic way of soccer. Players can also try out the new party mode called Footii Party which has ace player Ronaldinho in it. Here you can play Juggling, Table Soccer or Boot It using your own Mii characters to unlock a customized Ronaldinho character.

This Wii game also features a Soccer Academy that allows players to learn the basic and FreeMotion advanced controls in over 30 interactive tutorials. And, if you need assistance with EA SPORTS Family Play, then Soccer Academy is the place to head.

Yet another great feature in FIFA Soccer 08 on the Wii is EA’s award-winning Interactive Leagues online play.

Madden NFL 08 game will be available on August 18, 2007 while NBA Live game has been slated for an October 2, 2007 release. FIFA 08 game currently holds a pending Q3 2007 release date.
