Kreeda’s Dance Mela gets nominated for Changemaker Award

The recently launched ‘Dance Mela’ PC game by Kreeda is already creating quite a stir not just in India, but all over the world. Now the game is all set to make its appearance with 14 other finalists competing from 13 countries in ‘Change Maker’, an award ceremony.
For the uninitiated, Dance Mela is a pure song and dance game with the latest Bollywood as well as international music tracks and cool dance moves.
According to Kreeda, the USP of Dance Mela is that it generated non-violent attributes of encouraging online communities through peaceful means like dance, non-aggressive social interaction and fun combined with exercise.
Change Makers is actually an initiative of ‘Ashoka: Innovators for the Public’ that focuses on the rapidly growing world of social innovation Hence, this game must surely have garnered all that attention for the right reasons. Changemakers is also building the world’s first global online “open source” community that competes to bring about the best social solutions, and then collaborating to refine, enrich and implement those solutions.
They select the top three entries that world to improve health and health care. The three entries who receive the most votes will each receive $5,000. This will take place at the Changemakers Change Summit in May 2008 at the RWJF-sponosred Games for Health Conference.
Kreeda’s Dance Mela game must surely work all participants up in a sweat with groovy tunes. It’s no wonder that the game was selected as it requires people to be on their feet and get off the couch!
