Dream-Build-Play Contest by Microsoft

Today, Microsoft Corp. kicked off the Dream-Build-Play game development contest. This contest will provide game developers the opportunity to make the rules, shape the characters and create the story of a game.

The best part of it all is the grand prize of the Dream-Build-Play game development contest which is $10,000 and an opportunity for the winner’s game to be published on Xbox Live Arcade. Besides, more than 20 winners will be selected to win awesome prizes with a total value of more than $40,000 from Microsoft, Alienware, Advanced Micro Devices, Autodesk and Softimage Co.

The Dream-Build-Play game development contest was announced at the ongoing Game Developers Conference 2007 in San Francisco. Here, Microsoft also showcased a number of new products that will help developers of every level turn their dreams into reality.

The Dream-Build-Play game development contest is open to all users of XNA Game Studio Express. Besides, users of GarageGames Torque X platform can also participate in the contest.

The Dream-Build-Play game development contest ends on July 2, 2007 and the winners of the contest will be announced on August 13, 2007 at the Microsoft Gamefest 2007, in Seattle.
