Logitech G9 Laser Mouse

Logitech has introduced the G9 Laser mouse, expanding the company’s line of G-series peripherals for PC gamers. This mouse offers gamers the ability to modify every part of the mouse, giving them the best in customization according to their personal fit, feel and performance requirements.

The Logitech G9 Laser Mouse is a corded one and is not wireless. In spite of this, it offers a host of benefits. They are noted below:

  • Interchangeable grips
  • On-the-fly dpi switching ranging from 200 dpi to 3200 dpi
  • Full-speed USB laser tracking
  • An on-board-memory profiling system
  • Weight tuning
  • Custom-color LED
  • Hyper-fast MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel
  • Using the Logitech G9 Laser mouse, gamers are offered two interchangeable grips: Wide-load grip and Precision grip. The Wide-load grip has been designed to deliver comfort during those endless gaming sessions and thus provides a fuller shape and soft touch and satin feel. The Precision grip on the other hand, uses DryGrip technology and a compact shape, offering fingertip control and a surer handle for any hand.

The G9 Laser mouse also allows for customized weight tuning and weight distribution, offering gamers a much more comfortable feel. The weight-tuning system enables gamers to choose from hundreds of weight settings by inserting upto four additional weights in the mouse’s weight tray, adding up to a maximum of 28 grams. The spring-loaded weight cartridge fits snugly in the bottom of the G9 mouse and can be easily opened, retuned and secured in hardly any time.

Moreover, using the new Logitech SetPoint software v5.0, gamers will be able to create a number of profiles for the G9 mouse. Plus, the G9 Laser mouse has onboard memory, allowing gamers to take their personalized settings everywhere. In fact, up to 5 profiles, including specified keyboard macros, dpi settings and LED color settings, can be stored on this mouse. The G9 mouse can also automatically identify the saved gaming profile. Alternatively, gamers can manually control the profile settings from a wide range fo LED colors that can be linked to each onboard profile, enabling them to co-ordinate the look of their mouse with their PC setup.

The G9 mouse can be shifted on the fly to up to 3200 dpi for faster, more precise cursor movements, or down to as low as 200 dpi for games that require pixel-precise control. A full-speed USB connection delivers up to 1,000 reports per second for smooth tracking without cursor lag.

The Logitech G9 Laser mouse for gamers is priced at Rs.5,995 (including a 3 year replacement warranty) and is available via distributors in India such as Neoteric, Origin Marketing and Rashi Peripherals.
