Vishal Gondal, CEO, Indiagames

Indiagames, the company which practically introduced gaming in India, has developed and published games across multiple platforms including Java, BREW, Symbian, I-Mode, and Macromedia Flash Lite. And now it steps into the foray on the Nokia NGage mobile phone platform. But it’s important to note that Indiagames’ and Nokia’s affiliation is not new.

Indiagames has had a close partnership with Nokia since the past 6 years. The company has worked closely with the mobile phone company ever since they launched their very first Java phone. And now this partnership has been enhanced further with Indiagames developing games for the new upcoming NGage platform.

Commenting on this, Mr. Gondal maintained, “The key thing is that the mobile phone is becoming more and more powerful everyday. The latest Nokia and Qualcomm phones are embedded with capability of running games just like the way one does on his PS2. The present day world is all about convergence, so whilst we are making games that work on PCs and Xbox, the same games should be able to work on the Nokia platform too. And this is part of our 360 degree strategy of hitting high quality games with every platform.”

However, TechShout.com’s tête-à-tête doesn’t end here. We touched on and spoke about loads of other things, which you sure can’t miss, with the man who is even at times regarded as a ‘toy store owner’. If you want to all about it and more, then stay tuned here.
