Xbox To Ban Cheaters

Xbox Live’s programming director Larry Hryb aka Major Nelson has warned cheaters on Xbox Live and also indicated to make a necessary step to stop the same.

Major Nelason claimed that Microsoft has observed some users to share account information. Also they offer to increase Gamerscores if provided with the Xbox Live ID and password information from other users. Such activities are totally against the Xbox Live terms of use agreement.

As a remedy, Hryb has cautioned users about banning them permanently. He said further that if any user is found to reveal their account details, then Microsoft will take harsh action against them by canceling the account, deleting the Gamertag, the associated Gamerscore, saved games and any Microsoft Points on the account.

“As you can imagine, we know how to find out if you do this and we do take action. And we’ll continue to do so,” said Hryb, explaining their action.

On the other hand if any artificial tampering with Gamerscores and Achievements are found, Microsoft will punish with removing his/her entire Gamerscore.
