Sify Announces Winner of the A3 Gaming Competition, the first-ever English version of MMORPG
The winners of the A3 gaming competition held on 25th January 2006 at the INOX theatre, Pune have been announced by Sify Limited. The 3D MMORPG competition, the first to be held by Sify in India, was won Liujun, a student of Pune University. The final contest was projected live on the cinema screen for the audience.
The Grand Prize, a TVS Scooty, was presented to Liujun by Bharadwaj of TVS. Mushtaq Ali of Zebronics, a games accessories company, gave away other prizes, such as high-end keyboards and mice, cordless headphones etc.
The top qualifiers were short listed for a preliminary round on the morning of 25th of January 2006. The finalists in each category then fought for dominance to reach the final shoot out session in the evening for the Grand Prize.
A3 is the first ever-English version of this highly rated and much anticipated Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG). A3, based on the undying power struggle between immortals and humans, has a persuasive storyline of love, hatred and revenge that unfolds over several episodes. As you tread this exciting journey, everyday will be redefined as you make your friends online and play and hunt and share your best moments together in real life 3-D environments.

This event was our way of encouraging online games and developing world-class gamers.”
