Zapak.com Logo Reliance Entertainment has launched a casual gaming portal called Zapak.com. Reliance has launched a separate company for its gaming initiatives called Zapak Entertainment Ltd. Zapak.com offers a range of casual games which fall under categories such as action, racing, sports, and mind games.

At the moment Zapak.com portal is yet under Beta stage. However, the formal launch of Zapak.com is slated to take place on December 1 2006. The Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group plans to invest $100 million over the next three years and use it in the direction of building gaming portals and gaming cafes.

Gradually, the R-ADAG plans to upgrade from just casual games to action games and MMOGs ( Massively Multiplayer Online Games ) in time. R-ADAG ’s Zapak casual game portal will compete with other Indian casual games sites such as Games2win.com and Humgama.com.

With R-ADAG announcing its Indian gaming portal and other major players planning to do the same in India, it looks like a turf war will soon erupt for the attention of the long ignored Indian gamers.
