SanDisk 4 GB Flash Card for Sony PSP Unveiled at E3

SanDisk 4 GB Flash Card

SanDisk unveiled 4 GB Flash Memory Stick PRO Duo Game card at the E3 show in Los Angeles Convention Center.

The 4 GB Flash Memory Card which ship’s later this month is particularly aimed towards these PSP gamers.

SanDisk Vice President Wes Brewer said, “The PSP has clearly become

more than just a gaming device,” said Brewer, who pointed out that the PSP has no internal memory of its own. “Users are rapidly demanding higher capacity cards.”

SanDisk 4 GB Flash Card can hold a hefty supply of different files: 64 hours of MP3 music, 20 hours of video, 4,000 still images and a 12 hours of game saves.

SanDisk 4 GB Flash Card is priced at $219.99. SanDisk will be selling cards of capacities 256 MB, 512 MB, 1 GB and 2 GB. Sony PSP usually uses the Universal Media Disc (UMD) for selling games. As UMD format is not recordable Universal Media Disc partnered with SanDisk to develop this Memory Stick PRO format for the Sony PSP.

SanDisk also unveiled Sansa e200 MP3 player that is available in three capacities: 2 GB, 4 GB, and 6 GB. Sansa e200 MP3 player comes for $199.99 to $299.99. Sansa e200 MP3 player is pitted against the market leader Apple iPod.
