Sony PS3 is being touted as the king of next-gen gaming consoles, but it seems that they have slipped up on a very serious issue, backward compatibility. This video shows how pathetic PS2 videogames look on the Sony PS3. The Sony PS3 backward compatibility problem arises as PS3 resizes the image at a low resolution with no filtering causing.

Meanwhile Microsoft has successfully made its Xbox titles work properly on the new Xbox 360 console. As of now, there are very few PS3 games available so gamers would have to turn to PS2 games for quenching their thirst. The PS3 backward compatibility issue can be fixed by a small PS3 firmware update.
