Electronic Arts (EA) has distributed The Sims 2 Open for Business to retailers around the globe today. The Sims 2 Open for Business is one of the most awaited expansion pack for the PC game, The Sims 2. Sims fans will be able to find The Sims 2 Open for Business on store shelves March 2, 2006 in North America and Europe.

The Sims 2 Open for Business builds on The Sims 2 experience, which allows players to create and control characters called Sims. Now, players who own The Sims 2 can install The Sims 2 Open for Business expansion pack to access a whole new type of gameplay that takes Sims out of their homes, and allows them to prosper at their dream business.

The Sims 2 Open for Business lets you create any kind of business, from trendy clothing boutique to blooming floral shop, a bustling restaurant perhaps, or become a mogul with an original business of your own design – you name it and its there…the Sims’ world is open for business!

Players will be able to design the floor plan and sales display, hire and fire employees, and set prices on merchandise they create or purchase for sale. With more than 125 new items and all new gameplay elements to choose from, the business possibilities are endless.

EA said that the entrepreneurial focus of The Sims 2 Open for Business was among the most requested themes by fans of The Sims 2.
