A survey conducted by research consultancy XTN Data shows that file sharing on the internet is growing rapidly even after the recent strings of lawsuits by RIAA and others.

It is as though like the users who illegally download files over the Internet are totally unaffected by the fact that they can be sued over those illegal file downloads.

Remarkably the survey brought to light a new trend, it shows that illegal download of movies and TV files overtook demand for music downloads with PC and console games increasing rapidly.

Multimedia download clearly made up a greater percentage of bandwidth, but the number of available gaming file download is increasing at an alarming rate.
