ViewSonic unveils CD4230 commercial display and VTMS2431 LCD HDTV

ViewSonic’s latest innovations include a new commercial display called CD4230 and a new multimedia HDTV called VTMS2431. ViewSonic claims that the novel display is an ideal digital signage solution in an ultra-thin bezel, while the LCD HDTV is the company’s first device that packs in a host of multimedia features.
Bundled with a 42-inch screen size, the novel display is just about 0.5 inches in thickness. Taking large format, high-impact digital signage solutions to elevated heights, the CD4230 ultra-thin bezel commercial display offers 500 nits of brightness along with a 1500:1 contrast ratio.
Offered with a DVI and VGA ports, the display is also compatible to the VESA-mount along with being RS-232 daisy-chain enabled.
Jeff Volpe, vice president and general manager of ViewSonic North America, commented, “As a leader in visual display technology, we understand what it takes to set up and manage a digital signage network. The addition of these new products to our portfolio furthers our position as a one-stop shop for installers that demand a complete solution set.”
As for the VTMS2431, it is a multimedia capable LCD HDTV. Offered in a 24-inch display size, the HDTV supports a full HD resolution of up to 1080p. Packed with a ATSC / NTSC / QAM tuner, the TV sports a RS-232 port that allows it to be controlled remotely.
Other features of the innovative LCD HDTV include an internal media player and USB port.
Both the CD4230 commercial display and the VTMS2431 LCD HDTV are expected to reach stores by Q2, 2009 for an estimate price of around $1,999 and $449.
