Reports have it that Philips is rolling out its all new Net TV, a HDTV which will be the part of Philips 8000 and 9000 and Cinema 21:9 series.
The highlight of this HDTV is its Internet connectivity (that is why the name Net TV). With the Internet service that the HDTV will be offering, users will get access to websites like YouTube, Netlog, eBay, MeteoGroup and others which seem to have an interface that has been simplified to view on HDTVs even from a distance.
As per the report Philips will extended the compatibility to other websites as well, in near future, more of which will be local for non-English speaking viewers, says Pocket Lint.
To get the Internet access on Net TV from the 8000 series, users will need a Ethernet connection. The 9000 series will have Net TV that will come with built-in Wi-Fi to simplify things. And making it easier will be the Cinema 21:9 models that can access any wireless home internet connection, says the site.
The Net TV is rumored to be available commercially in the market by the month of April; however, nothing about the pricing has been revealed.
