Expanding its range of products in India, BenQ has launched its new DLP projectors in the country. These are CP270 from Commuter Series and the MP727.
The CP270 is a 1.5 kg projector aimed at business travelers and small offices. It incorporates in it high-dust and high-traffic settings and filter-free design to reduce the time and costs of filter cleaning and replacement.
Its key features are the native XGA (1024×768) resolution and high-brightness of 2000 ANSI lumens. Also, it boasts of a contrast ratio of 1000:1. It also has a quick cooling time of just 30 seconds even after long hours of projection. Its other feature includes Quick Auto Search technology and claims to have the industry’s fastest source detection of just 2 seconds. It also employs the Wall Color Correction for accurate colors in the absence of a screen. The projector comes in a compact size of 190 x 77.5 x 205 mm size.
Next in line, the BenQ MP727 shows off advanced features like the HDTV compatibility, 3 watt speaker and HDMI 1.3 (with HDCP). It also comes with a universal audio remote which can control devices like external speakers, DVD player, notebook and others which are connected to the projector.
It has high-brightness of 4300 ANSI lumens and OSRAM’s Unishape technology and Texas Instrument’s BrilliantColor with a high contrast of 3500:1, which are its key highlights.
Features common to both the projectors are advanced 6-segment Golden Ratio color wheel and BrilliantColor color processing and BenQ’s very own 3D Color Management. The 6-segment Golden Ratio color wheel helps in boosting up the brightness levels by up to 50 percent and intensifies mid-tone hues. The 3D color management helps adjust hue, saturation and boldness of all six color wheel tones (red, green, blue, cyan, white and yellow) independently without disturbing other colors while adjusting one of them.
The BenQ MP727 projector is available in the country for a price of Rs. 1.68 lakhs at BenQ dealers. The price of BenQ CP270 is yet to be announced.
