JVC launches 2009 lineup of Everio G and S series camcorders

JVC Everio G and S Series Camcorders

JVC recently released wide range of new products. Amongst these is its spanking new 2009 line up of Everio G series and Everio S series camcorders.

The Everio G series consist of three standard definition models, namely, the 60 GB GZ-MG630, the 80 GB GZ-MG670 and the 120 GB GZ-MG680.All the models in this series feature 1/6-inch 800,000-pixel CCD image sensor and Konica Minolta Lens with 40x dynamic zoom and 800x digital zoom.

Of these three camcorders, the GZ-MG680 and GZ-MG670 are capable of upconversion for 1920 x 1080p upconverted video signal; thereby making them compatible with HD televisions via the HDMI connection. For the HDMI connection, these models sport a HDMI mini terminal.

With the hard disk capacities ranging from 60 GB to 120 GB, the series offers 28 to 150 hours of recording (depending on the recording mode, says JVC).

The 60 GB GZ-MG630 is available in the colors of diamond silver, sapphire blue and ruby red. The 80GB GB GZ-MG670 and 120 GB GZ-MG680, both are available in the color onyx black.

The Everio S series consists of two models- the GZ-MS120 with dual SD/SDHC card slots and GZ-MS130 with SD/SDHC card slot and 16 GB internal flash memory. These models facilitate continuous recording with their dual memories.

The GZ-MS210 with dual-slot can record in highest quality mode, the Ultra mode, for 3.7 hours while using a 3 GB card and for 15 hours while using two 32 GB cards. In the Eco mode, the camcorder can record for 20 to 80 hours. It is available in the colors of onyx black, sapphire blue and garnet red. The GZ-MS130 with a single card slot and internal memory is available in the color of onyx black.

The features common to both the series of camcorders is that they come equipped with One Touch Export function for easy import of videos in iTunes for iPod and iPhone. They also boast of One Touch DVD burning and One Touch Upload function for convenience in uploading of videos to the video sharing site YouTUbe.
There are three dedicated buttons for these functions – the Upload, Export and Direct DVD, which let you transfer the videos via the Windows PC application onto YouTube and iTunes, and for burning DVDs.

The camcorders also have the all new Digest Playback function that lets one check the captured content in the form of highlight scenes like a movie trailer of five minutes of 60 minutes footage, on the LCD screens of the camcorder.

The GZ-MG630, GZ-MG670, GZ-MG680 from the Everio G series are available for a price of $429.95, $479.95 and $549.95 respectively. The GZ-MS120 and GZ-MS130 from the Everio S series are available for a price of $299.95 and $349.95 respectively.
