Extravaganza Mumbai ‘08 showcases Vu and Amosu Luxury Tech Brands in India

On February 22-23, 2008 the Extravaganza Mumbai 2008 show took place at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai. The two day show comprised a high-end exhibition of all things luxurious as well as live shows by the exhibition participants. TechShout was lucky to get to experience the extravaganza at the few technology stalls that dotted the grand affair.
In keeping with the theme of luxury, most brands showcasing their goods at the event were high-end ones some of which include real estate brands from the UK, chic clothing store Marc Cain, Davidoff Cigars and Porshe amongst many other whiskey, wine, luxury yacht and car brands. The technology stores included Amosu Luxury Phones, VU Technologies and Vertu, all of which perfectly complimented the jet-set lifestyle of those who love to indulge in the luxurious.
Vu Technologies, a maker of luxury technologies had some LCD screens on display here. The Vu stall had a very interesting set-up going on and very helpful representatives to match! Three displays that really caught my eye were the Bathroom LCD Display, a beautiful digital photo frame and a rotatable screen that can be placed anywhere.
The newly introduced Vu Bathroom LCD Display offers the luxury of transforming the simple act of watching TV in the comfort of a living room or perhaps even bedroom to the bathroom!
This 15-inch waterproof LCD from Vu allows the viewer to relax and have a shower while watching a movie, sports match, news or perhaps even their favorite TV show.
Also on display was a beautifully embellished digital photo frame which forms a part of Vu’s Spring/Summer Collection ’08. This 10.4-inch frame comes in two colors- Gold and Blanc (a silver version).
Next up, was the Amosu Luxury Phone stall, which is a UK-based brand that sells limited edition mobile phones. It was the eye-catching , sparkling décor that caught my eye.

The phones customized by Amosu are just perfect for those who feel that ‘bling’ is their thing. If you are one of those who likes to be seen dripping in diamonds, then you will have to shell out something like 45,000 pounds and nothing less!
Also on display were a few gold and silver Bluetooth headsets which were also handcrafted and completely covered in diamonds.
The event saw a wonderful turnout and will surely see a surge in attendees come next year when Extravaganza Mumbai ’09 is scheduled to be held at The Hilton. Also, we do hope that next years show has a whole lot more tech brands joining the luxury brigade.
