Samsung India has announced its foray into two new product segments – Digital projector and Digital photo frames thereby growing its business of IT Peripherals.

The company will be introducing a full HD 1080p projector – A800. The projector claims to project superior ‘ultimate’ quality and true to life images offering Joe Kane Certified picture quality. The digital projector runs on DLP 1080p film technology that has a 95 percent aperture ratio and 16 ms of response time. It also features a 1080p 24 frame true film mode and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1. The Samsung A800 projector is priced at Rs. 3,50,000. The company plans to make the A-800 projector available in the coming months.

Samsung also announced its new product – the 8 inch digital photo frame – SPF-83H that comes with an internal memory of 128 Mbyte and has simple and user friendly functionality. Further details are yet to be released. The Samsung SPF-83H wireless network photo frame will be made available in few months to come and is priced at Rs. 9,900.

Samsung is booming into the Indian market with its latest product one of which also happens to be its new LCD monitors that were announced with the digital photo frame and projector.

The date on which the products will be made available in the market have not been specified by the company. However, one can expect these products soon, probably by the later half of 2008.
