SGH-i400 Symbian OS Smartphone unveiled by Samsung

samsung SGH-i400 Symbian OS Smartphone Samsung Electronics has unveiled its latest Symbian OS smartphone- the SGH-i400. This smartphone was just unveiled at the S60 summit in Madrid, Spain.

The Samsung SGH-i400 is a slim slider phone. It has a large 2.3-inch 262K QVGA TFT display.

Since the SGH-i400 smartphone runs on the Symbian operating system, it is capable of supporting carious third party applications like most S60 smartphones in the market tday.

Besides, the Samsung SGH-i400 smartphone offers support for various languages and also has multi-tasking features. The SGH-i400 smartphone supports Web 2.0 browsing and A2DP Bluetooth compatibility.

And like most mobile phone that hit the market today, the SGH-i400 smartphone too has a 2 mega pixel camera, a music player and dual stereo apeakers.

The Samsung SGH-i400 smartphone weighs just 92 grams and has a memory expansion slot for microSD.

According to S.P Yoon, Vice President of Samsung’s Telecommunications Network Business, “We are happy to introduce our new Symbian based smartphone SGH-i400 which follows the earlier release of SGH-i520, the first Symbian OS smartphone. We can provide a convenient mobile phone experience for our users by adopting Symbian S60.” He added, “Samsung is excited to present new smartphones to our customers around the world, and we will continue to reveal new models to fit our customers’ needs.”

The Samsung SGH-i400 smartphone will be launched in Europe sometime after July 2007. No word on the price as yet.
