Nokia 500 Auto Navigation System, the Complete In-Car Solution launched
Nokia has the tagline “Connecting People”. Whether it may be its mobile phones or any other gizmo, it truly keeps up to the motto of connecting you with not only people but with life as a whole.
Today, Nokia introduced the Nokia 500 Auto Navigation device. With this, users can not only quickly and easily reach their destination but can also see who is calling and make quality handsfree calls.
The latest Nokia 500 Auto Navigation is the Finnish mobile giant’s first handsfree automotive navigation and communication enhancement device. Apart from the built-in GPS and in-car navigation features, Nokia 500 is also a comprehensive Bluetooth handsfree system for your compatible mobile phone.
The personal navigation gadget has a 4.3-inches wide color screen that makes it really simple for owners to search their contacts and make and receive call. In addition, the handsfree speaker system with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) renders crisp audio quality.
It integrates the high-sensitivity GPS and Nokia Maps navigation software that enables the Nokia 500 Auto Navigation to give clear spoken and visual directions. The device is pre-installed with regional maps, and detailed travel information, including points of interest such as hotels, petrol stations and tourist sites of most countries.
Nokia 500 includes the Traffic Message Channel Service through which users can avoid the irritating traffic jams, making it possible for you to reach their destinations more quickly. Furthermore, the device also has an intuitive Nokia interface, featuring a split screen which displays additional information next to the main screen to help with better navigation. The split screen gives significant info regarding the upcoming turns, estimated time of arrival and distance remaining, making it certain that these details are always accessible.
And the journey doesn’t end there. Owners can listen to music whilst on the wheel, with the built-in music player. It can even play music through your car’s FM radio using the built-in FM Transmitter. Also, one can view photographs or watch videos on his Nokia 500 Auto Navigation device.
Marcus Stahl, director, Nokia Automotive said, “The Nokia 500 Auto Navigation is an expansion of our extensive enhancements portfolio. Our solutions are tightly integrated with our mobile devices, allowing users to enjoy quality handsfree communication with their phonebook, music and competitive navigation.”
Slated for a release in the last quarter of 2007, the Nokia 500 Auto Navigation is expected to be available in selected channels across Europe for about EUR 300, excluding taxes. A subsequent launch in other markets is also on the cards.
