The MyBlu Pack

UK-based Mavizen, has introduced MyBlu – the Bluetooth iPod-to-Mobile Phone gizmo. Now what’s really interesting about MyBlu, which pretty much resembles a second-generation iPod Shuffle, is that if you own this device the entire purpose of owning an iPhone ceases.

MyBlu – the Bluetooth iPod-to-Mobile Phone Device This is how Mavizen’s MyBlu works:

You need to simply plug the device between the iPod and the headphones and viola; your iPod becomes Bluetooth capable. When you get a call, the caller information is displayed on the iPod’s screen, and the device itself acts as a handsfree kit; you can then just leave your mobile in your pocket or purse or anywhere at all. What’s more, you also get voice-activate redial and the iPod can also be used to redial any of the nine most recent phone numbers.

What I found truly attractive about MyBlu is that it gives FM radio functionality upon the otherwise radio-less iPod, which will pause playback when a call comes in.

MyBlu is available in black and white colors. There’s a whole lot of a difference in the pricing of the iPhone and MyBlu, where the former costs at around $600, MyBlu is available in Asia for just $77. Whew, that’s quite something. Furthermore, Mavizen claims that there are and will be many firmware upgrades, which is something to watch out for.
