Philips PET830 and PET1030 Portable DVD Players Unveiled
Philips has two rather super-looking media players – the PET830 and the PET1030.
The PET830 is a tablet-style DVD player with an 8.5-inch display and a Zero Bright Dot warrantee (i.e. no dead pixels) for optimal screen quality. In addition it has the ability to play MPEG-4 and DivX video, and MP3 and WMA audio files from its CD.
Though we don’t have much definite info, from the face of it the Philips PET1030 is about the same, however the difference is that it has a 10.2-inch LCD display that can swivel 180-degree, and USB 2.0 as well as a memory card slot. Philips will present the Philips Portable DVD Player PET1030 at the 2007 Ces show.
No information on the pricing and availability of the Philips PET830 and the PET1030 media players yet.
