Nintendo DS MP3 Player Here is some great news for Nintendo DS owners. Nintendo has announced that owners of its Nintendo DS handheld game console will soon be able to enjoy more than just game play. Nintendo is launching a simple accessory, which is a card reader that can allow music enthusiasts to listen to tunes from the handheld console.

The Nintendo DS Card Reader will allow music fans to plug in their own SD card full of music to play on their Nintendo DS console. According to Nintendo, the SD memory card will have a storage capacity of 512MB and will be able to store around 150 songs.

Besides, each song’s title information will be clearly listed on the Nintendo DS screen so that songs can be easily selected. The Nintendo MP3 Player is also fully compatible with the Game Boy Advance SP and GameBoy Micro as the cartridge will be able to be slotted into the GameBoy Advance port on all the Nintendo handheld consoles.

The new Nintendo DS MP3 Card Reader will be available on December 8, 2006, which happens to be the same day as the launch of the Nintendo Wii in Europe. The estimated retail price of the Nintendo MP3 accessory is around £20.
