E-400, World’s Smallest D-SLR with Interchangeable Lens System released by Olympus

Olympus E-400 D-SLR Olympus has launched E-400, a breathtaking digital SLR camera. Now what’s really astonishing is that the camera has been announced throughout the globe, barring North America. One wonders why…coz the American market would surely be eager to welcome such a miniature masterpiece.

Olympus E-400 D-SLR sideways The Olympus E-400 features a 10MP CCD, TruePic TURBO image processor and is based around the four thirds standard. The E-400 has also been condensed beautifully, making it the world’s smallest and lightest D-SLR (5.1″ x 3.6″ x 2.1″ and 13.4 ounces). What’s more…Olympus has also included a Super Sonic Wave filer for dust reduction, 2.5″ LCD screen, CompactFlash and xD memory card slots, 31 shooting modes, DOF preview and one-touch white balance.

The Olympus E-400 will include a new Zuiko Digital EZ-1442 ED 14-42mm F3.5-F5.6 kit lens and a new EZ-4015-2 ED 40-150mm lens will also be available.

  • It seems that E-400 is the first D-SLR to not have a worldwide release. Here’s hoping that Olympus rethinks their decision though.
