Verizon Palm Treo 700w Smartphone Hits the Market

Palm Treo 700 On Wednesday, Verizon released to its customers the much awaited Treo 700w smartphone, powered by Windows Mobile 5.0. The Treo 700 incorporates EV-DO support to connect to Verizon’s high-speed network, as well as Windows applications such as Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player Mobile, and direct access to Exchange Server 2003.

With respect to hardware, the Treo 700w sports an Intel Xscale processor, 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 1.2, SD and MMC memory card slots, as well as a 240×240 pixel TFT display. The phone will be priced at $399.99 after $100 instant refund when customers sign up to a 2-year Verizon service plan.
