Apple launches iPod ‘Hi-Fi’ Boombox

On Tuesday Apple announced its own portable stereo system for the iPod called Hi-Fi. With this move Apple has entered a sector which has the likes of JBL, Bose and Altec Lansing dominating it.
In his keynote address, company CEO Steve Jobs highlighted the importance of quality while listening to audio in the home.
The $349 USD device includes connectors for all iPod models along with an Apple remote, and can run plugged-in or on 6 D batteries.
