Bose Lifestyle V20 and V30 Home Theatre Systems

Bose India has unveiled Lifestyle V20 and V30 home theatre systems in the country. The latest entrée in the Lifestyle home entertainment product line-up offers high-quality audio and video from practically all entertainment sources that are currently available in the market, which includes those with HDMI as well.

Announcing the products at a plush hotel in Mumbai city was Ratish Pandey, General Manage, Bose India who took us through the products, leaving us wanting for more.

All Lifestyle V-class systems fit in well with hi-def TVs and components including, DVD players, cable/satellite boxes, DVRs, MP3 players and gaming consoles. They merge the audio quality and technology of Bose’s comprehensive Lifestyle systems with the choice of adding and changing entertainment sources as new technologies come out.

The V20 and V30 deliver premium 5.1 surround sound for movies, music, sports and video games. They incorporate five small speaker ranges, a media console, an Acoustimass module, radio frequency remote and a separate display. All audio and video sources connect to the media console, which can be concealed in a cabinet or closet. It comes bundled with a radio frequency remote that has the ability to control connected sources, making things look tidy, discarding the need of having a battery of remotes which is usually the case. Standard as well as high-definition sources can be connected with the multiple digital and analog inputs. Two inputs can be used for basic HDMI connections. Furthermore, both the newly introduced systems from Bose upscale video to the highest resolution the connected television can accept up to 1080p over HDMI enabling users to get the maximum out of their high-definition televisions with clutter.

While the Lifestyle V30 includes five award-winning Jewel Cube speaker arrays, Lifestyle V20 comes with five Direct/Reflecting cube speaker line-ups. Each system includes a horizontal center channel speaker array, which helps to offer clear focused dialogue and balanced surround sound.

The Bose Lifestyle V20 and V30 home theatre systems work together with an Acoustimass module that delivers low frequencies while decreasing audible distortion to the maximum, thanks to which all the sound appears to come from the tiny cube speakers.

In addition, the systems include the ADAPTiQ audio calibration system, a proprietary Bose innovation that analyzes and automatically adjusts the system’s sound to a user’s particular room, speaker location, furniture placement, even listener location, basically factors that can impact any sound system’s performance. The ADAPTiQ system recompenses for these inconsistencies so that the Lifestyle V-Class system delivers excellent performance.

All V-Class systems bundle Videostage 5 decoding circuitry, which offers a surround sound experience even from stereo and mono formats such as videotapes, stereo CDs or older TV programs. Enhanced post-processing techniques automatically deliver a clear, on-screen audio center image and balanced surround sound, similar to that of a 5.1-encoded DVD.

The Lifestyle V20 and V30 systems come in black or white colors. Slated to hit stores by Feb-end across India, while Lifestyle V30 will sell at Rs. 1,91,138 /-(excl VAT), Lifestyle V20 costs Rs. 1,29,263 /-(excl VAT).

To those for whom some of the above mentioned details seemed vague, the only word that defines V20 and V30 is “breathtaking”. When we heard Sarah Brightman’s number and a clip from Ice Age 2 on them, it seemed practically live. We leave you with a few shots from those AVs. Enjoy them, alas to enjoy the sound you need to get one of the systems for yourself!
