Tata Sky Limited, a DTH television service provider in India has joint hands with 24×7guru.com, an online assessment service provider. As part of this partnership, Tata Sky will offer interactive learning services on Indian televisions.
The Hyderabad-based 24×7guru.com which is owned by Learnsmart India, offers online material for students in class 3 to class 10, to assess their skills in different subjects like mathematics, general knowledge and science.
24×7guru.com will be providing online content for Tata Sky’s recently launched ‘Actve Learning’, a quiz-based educational program for children in the age group of 7-11 years.
The interactive self-assessment tool on Tat Sky’s DTH platform shoots new questions everyday that can be easily navigated with the help of a remote.
According to Sanjiv Gupta, director, Learnsmart, children are also provided with the correct answers and individual score cards as well.
This new service will be free at first. However, as time goes by, Tata Sky plans to start charging a small monthly fee.
Meanwhile, Mehra also said that Tata Sky is planning to offer educational material content via the DTH platform for secondary students in the age group of 12-18.
