iTunes 6 Screenshot On Thursday, Apple announced that its Online Music Store iTunes has diversified with the addition of programs from MTV Networks’ like Spike TV, Logo, Nick at Night, TV Land, as well as the main MTV channel.

It would cost US$1.99 to download shows from the new action series “Blade: The Series”, comedy prank show “Viva La Bam” and the gay-themed drama Noah’s Arc” amongst many other shows on offering. All these shows are extremely popular on the Television. So making them on-the-go with the help from Apple’s iTunes will surely be a good thing.

At the moment, iTunes is offering the two-hour premier episode of Spike TV’s “Blade: The Series” for free until July 11.

MTV Networks has already been successful through the iTunes Music Store with episodes of Comedy Central hit “South Park”, which sold more than 1 million episodes. “MTV Networks’ programming has been a hit with customers since launching on iTunes earlier this year,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s vice president of iTunes.

Other new shows on offer by iTunes in collaboration with MTV are “Fatherhood”, which is an animated series based on Bill Cosby’s best-selling book of the same name. “Viva La Bam” documents the life of skateboarding pro, better known as the “Jackass” star Bam Margera. “Disorderly Conduct” features an outrageous video footage from police precincts across America.

“Our brands create some of the most vibrant, entertaining and pop culture-defining programming today,” Nicholas Lehman, executive vice president of MTV Networks Digital Media said in a statement. “We’re excited to add more of our diverse programing to iTunes and to connect a broad digital audience with our bold entertainment content.”

On the Apple iTunes front, there sure is a lot going on. Now Apple wants its popular music store to become an all-in-one stop for any subscription-based content, which includes audio books as well. Apple’s Online Music Store iTunes has been expanded to accept files in PDF format. The first free PDF download includes advertisements and editorials, while the second has a 47 minute segment featuring the tracks of around 20 artists. The promotion of the expansion of iTunes into PDF formats is sponsored by The Fader Magazine and Wikinews, which will provide feature articles.
