Olympus SP-810UZ 14MP camera to provide crisp images at 36x optical zoom
Photography lovers can easily capture an exotic landscape or even that tiny beetle on a leaf with the new 14 megapixel Olympus SP-810UZ camera supporting an optical zoom up to 36x. Besides its far snapping capabilities, the device comes in a compact design and is packed with many features.
Being the first of its kind with high zoom capabilities, the Olympus SP-810UZ offers superior image quality with the combination of the wide 1:2.9-5.7 24-864mm lens, Dual Image Stabilization, enhanced ISO sensitivity, Shadow Adjustment technology and the TruePic III+ image processor. With the advanced focus features, users can concentrate on important, fast moving objects and never lose sight of them.
Jennifer Schmell, product manager Olympus Imaging America Inc. commented, “The SP-810UZ is the best zoom performance Olympus has ever delivered. No compact camera from Olympus has ever offered such impressive wide-angle zoom performance. As the most powerful camera in Olympus’ ultrazoom category, it succeeds the prestigious SP-800UZ.”
For a more creative approach, users can customize their images with the ten magic filters like the Miniature filter that enhances color and contrast while narrowing the focus depth on photos. Similarly, the Reflection filter adds a mirror effect like a person standing on a glass or near a lake. Additionally, for capturing images in 3D, two shots from different angels are takes to acquire the 3D effect, which can be further viewed on compatible TV sets.
Convenience of capturing photos can be achieved with the Auto Mode which optimizes settings like focus and lighting based on previous five common photo scenarios and the Pet Detection Mode, in which users can get the best shot of their pets. Also, wide angle shots can be taken by panning the camera across the scene to combine three different shots into one with the In-Camera Panorama mode. Offering connectivity option like HDMI Control, where users can control navigation and playback function directly from their TV remote, the Olympus SP-810UZ camera comes with support for Eye-Fi DS cards, allowing transfer of data directly to PCs over Wi-Fi.
The 14MP Olympus SP-810UZ camera will come with a price tag of $329.99 and will be available starting this September, 2011 in the color black. Additionally, the device will ship with contents like Lithium-Ion battery and charger, USB cable, audio/video cable, protective lens cap, camera strap, quick start guide, warranty card, instruction manual and a software CD-ROM.
