Nikon flashes in new Coolpix S1100pj projector camera

Nikon was last spotted making news with its Coolpix S8000 and S6000 digital cameras. Now, the company has added a new Coolpix camera to its product range, the S1100pj. Drenched in style and performance, the device offers a complete way to view, edit and share photos and other content.
Users can now easily capture vibrant and lively photos with S1100pj’s 40 percent brighter, 14-lumen internal projector. Completed with a built-in stand and user-friendly touchscreen interface, this camera offering allows users to easily share photos and movies. Users can effortlessly connect the device to a PC via USB cable to project anything displayed on the computer screen or the camera’s JPEG image files. Internal memory of about 79MB is proffered with the device while it can be expanded with SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card.
The projector of the S1100pj displays up to 47-inches images from a distance of over 7-feet away. Interestingly, users can seamlessly add text, drawings, or decorations like flowers or fishes while the projection is on. Be it a slumber bash at a friend’s farmhouse or random pictures captured with loved ones, the projector button and the focus dial can be used to share and display those special moments. A circle motif and design of the camera emphasize on the projector window and lens.
Its 3-inch 460,000-dot touch LCD screen ensures higher visibility with sharper imagery. Its resistive touch panel lets users focus and shoot photos with the touch of a finger. The touchscreen of the device equips hard coating which doesn’t leave the marks of fingerprints. Photography enthusiasts can splash glamour to their pictures with six filter effects integrated in the camera. Filter effects including color options, soft, selective color, cross screen, fisheye, and miniature effect allow users to edit photos for fun and amusement. Quick HD video recording at a frame size of 1280 x 720 pixels is also enabled with a movie-record button.
Other highlighting functions of this 14.2 megapixel camera featuring built-in 5x optical wide zoom Nikkor lens are rating feature, easy-to-use user interface with graphical tabs, several slide show effects, playback of PowerPoint presentation after JPEG conversion, ViexNX2 software, and hi-speed USB port. Accessories bundled in with the device are remote control ML-L5, stylus TP-1, camera strap, battery charger mh-65, one EN-EL12 rechargeable Li-ion battery, USB Cable UC-E6, audio/video cable EG-CP14, and ViewNX 2 CD-ROM. This lately unleashed offering measures 100.8mm x 62.7mm x 24.1mm (excluding projections) and is extremely handy at 180g. Users can snap up the device in a variety of shades like black, blue, green, purple, and more.
As of now, there’s no official word on the pricing and the availability details of the Coolpix S1100pj projector camera.
