Sanyo Xacti DMX-CA8 Camera launched in Japan

Sanyo has launched the Xacti digital camcorder named DMX-CA8. A waterproof body is the most important feature of the Xacti CA8.
The Xacti CA8 features a 2.5 inch TFT color LCD display, 5x optical zoom lens, digital image stabilizer and an in-built memory of 44MB with up to 32GB SDHC Card memory card slot.
The CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductor) sensor works faster than CCD (charge couple device) image sensor. As a result users will be able to capture videos at 60fps. The camera further supports MPEG4 AVC/H.264 compression for video files.
The 8-megapixel camera is also capable of capturing still images at 4,000 x 3,000 pixels resolution.
The Xacti CA8 measures 70×111x40 mm and weighs 239g. Moreover, the camera is capable of delivering 205 still image shots or 75 minutes of continuous video shooting in a single battery charge.
The Xacti CA8 camera is available for ¥50,000 in the Japanese market.
